Transmar Group Supports the Ecuador Earthquake Relief Effort
Morristown, New Jersey, April 26 - Transmar Group today announced its contribution to the relief efforts following the earthquakes in Ecuador. Transmar Group has a significant presence in Ecuador through its subsidiary, Transmar Ecuador, and has pledged to help the families and communities that were most affected by the earthquake in their recovery process.

Transmar Group has made a $US 27,000 donation to Hogar de Cristo, an Ecuadorian nonprofit organization whose mission it is to provide shelter, health, education, religious, and economic services to people throughout the country. The funds will go towards the construction of an emergency shelter encampment for some of the thousands of people who lost their homes due to the earthquake. The encampment will include private houses for 11 families, a communal kitchen and eating space, bathrooms, a waste management system, and a retention basin to collect rainwater and prevent flooding.

In addition to the Group's donation, Transmar Ecuador employees also initiated a voluntary collection of food, clothing, water, and medicine which they donated to the Ecuadorian Red Cross in the immediate aftermath of the disaster.
According to Peter G. Johnson, Chief Executive Officer, "Our thoughts and prayers are with the people of Ecuador during this difficult time. We hope that our donation will help the affected families begin on the road to recovery."
