US Ambassador Todd Chapman Visits Transmar Ecuador
On Friday, August 19, Transmar Ecuador had the privilege of hosting United States Ambassador to Ecuador Todd Chapman at our cocoa processing facility in Guayaquil. Ambassador Chapman was accompanied by several of his embassy staff members including Consul General Patricia L. Fietz.




As Ambassador Chapman explained in his interview with Canal Uno, a national broadcasting network in Ecuador that reported on the visit, the main purpose of the visit was to get to know an American company in the agricultural sector that is operating in Guayaquil. This allowed him to highlight the strong commercial relationship that exists between the United States and Ecuador and to promote the exportation of Ecuadorian goods like cocoa to the United States and the rest of the world. Ambassador Chapman's time at Transmar Ecuador included a tour of the patio, warehouse, and plant, a presentation about the company, interviews with various Transmar Ecuador employees, a lunch of typical Ecuadorian fare, and a cocoa liquor tasting activity.
