Located in Morristown, NJ, Transmar Commodity Group Ltd. is both a regional office and our international headquarters. The team here serves primarily American customers with sourcing of cocoa beans and semi-finished cocoa products while also serving at the focal point for global corporate strategy.
Transmar Commodity Group also manages two processing facilities on the US east and west coast servicing the confectionery industry. These facilities provide solid product storage, melting, blending, liquid tankage and delivery as well as quality control.
Cocoa Services West
At the processing factory of Cocoa Service West, Transmar Group offers deodorized boxed cocoa butter melting services, as well as delivery of boxed butters. The factory is situated in Union City and serves our West Coast customers, from Canada all the way South to Mexico.
Cocoa Services West has a Safe Quality Foods (SQF) level 2 certification, which is recognized under the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI). The factory has an onsite lab and provides quality and sensory testing to comply with customer requests.
Cocoa Services LLC
Transmar USA operates Cocoa Services LLC, a cocoa butter melting and deodorizing factory in Swedesboro, New Jersey. The factory‘s location near Philadelphia is well situated for servicing our East Coast and Mid-West customers. Cocoa Services LLC is Kosher and Safe Quality Foods (SQF) level 2 certified, which is recognized under the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI).
The factory has an onsite lab and provides quality and sensory testing to comply with customer requests.
Transmar Jamaica Ltd.
Jamaica is considered to be one of the origins which exports 100% fine flavour cocoa. Fine flavours include fruit (fresh and browned, mature fruits), floral, herbal, and wood notes, nut and caramel notes as well as rich and balanced chocolate bases. The aromatic and flavour characteristics of Jamaica’s flavour cocoa has been the driving force behind long standing European and American customers.
Transmar Group launched Transmar Jamaica, a sourcing operation, in 2012. The aim of Transmar Jamaica is to provide chocolate manufacturers with fine or flavour cocoa beans which is used in traditional recipes, mainly for a limited number of relatively expensive, up-market finished products.
Transmar Ecuador S.A.
In 1998, Transmar Group established a bean exporting office in Guayaquil under the name of Colonial Cocoa de Ecuador S.A. The growth and success of that business prompted us to expand our business there with the construction of a cocoa liquor plant in Guayaquil.
The exporting office and plant were joined to become Transmar Ecuador in 2008.
Transmar Ecuador is a completely vertical operation. Its teams oversee every stage of the supply chain from working onsite with farmers to stewarding each customer’s order through processing to assure optimal quality.
Transmar Ecuador’s ability to create customized procurement and processing programs has earned it a client roster that includes small specialty-focused chocolate manufacturers to the very largest multinational firms.
As part of Transmar Group’s global expansion strategy, Transmar Peru was established in 2013 as a commercial and sustainability representative office.
Transmar Peru serves as a trading agent for Transmar Group and helps commercial partners strengthen their supply chains, thereby promoting sustainability.
Transmar Peru has strong commercial relationships with the Peruvian exporters and cooperatives, so it can ensure the supply of high quality products.
Cotterell Cocoa Services
In 2010, Transmar Group entered into a joint venture with H.D. Cotterell to create Cotterell Cocoa Services (CCS). CCS was established to combine the storage and melting of cocoa products.
Four years later, increasing demand led to the construction of a brand new production hall and an extension of the existing capacities. Today the product range covers melting and sterilization of cocoa liquor as well as melting and deodorizing of cocoa butter for Europe’s confectionery industry.
Transmar Switzerland was established in 2014 as a trading office. This office is conveniently located near key European customers and markets.
PT Makassar First Cocoa
Transmar Indonesia was established in 2015 as a commercial and logistics representative of Transmar Group. Transmar Indonesia manages relationships with stakeholders and with PT Makassar First Cocoa, a joint venture established in 2013 of which Transmar Group controls the majority of shares.
PT Makassar First Cocoa processes cocoa liquor of excellent quality with locally made machines.
Transmar Russia Trading LLC
To service the growing East European and Russian markets, Transmar Group launched Transmar Russia in 2010. The office works in tandem with Euromar to provide sourcing services and semi-finished products to its quickly-growing customer base in the region.
Transmar Ivoire, established in 2015 in the Ivory Coast, is part of Transmar Group’s global strategy to secure its origin sourcing of beans and cocoa related products. Located in the Ivory Coast, close to the farmers, its sustainability department trains Ivorian farmers in good practices of cocoa farming, encourages economic opportunities for women, and fights for the elimination of child labor.
Heading and supervising all African relations of Transmar Group, the technical and commercial departments advise Transmar’s different African partners and projects on cocoa transformation and cocoa bean export and provides strong and structured financial solutions.
FTN Cocoa Processors PLC
In 2007, FTN Cocoa transitioned from a bean exporter to a full-fledged processor of semi-finished cocoa products. Located in Ibadan, Oyo State, the current facility processes up to 20,000MTs of cocoa beans to deliver liquor, cake, powder and butter to both local and international clients.
FTN is one of the largest local processors in Nigeria.
Noha Nyamedjo & Associates
In 2015, Transmar partnered with Noha Nyamedjo, formerly one of Cameroon’s largest bean exporters, to build and manage a 32,000 MT grinding facility located in Douala, Cameroon. Construction to begin Q1 2016, the facility will provide high quality liquor, cake, butter and powder to global clients.
Brazil Rep Ofﬁce
In 2014, Transmar Group opened a commercial sales office in Brazil as part of its global expansion strategy.
This office markets Transmar Group products to the Brazilian food industry.
Euromar Commodities GmbH
Euromar was established in Germany in 2002 as part of Transmar Group’s expansion strategy and to provide better service to the European market. Euromar serves its customers as a complete supply chain service provider. Euromar has a strong working relationship with the cocoa trade and is active in the cocoa producing countries both through trading and sustainability initiatives.
Euromar operates one of the industry’s most advanced cocoa processing facilities. Located in Fehrbellin, Germany, its factory features state-of-the-art machinery that provides top operational efficiency and superior product quality.
GC Production GmbH
GC Production operations commenced in 2014. GC Production is strategically located within proximity to the Euromar production facility in Fehrbellin, Germany and operates as a small-batch blending and specialty product plant.
Created in June 2003, CONDICAF provides high quality cocoa products to global clients. With its recent increase to 60,000MTs of grinding capacity, the Company provides a full range of cocoa products (liquor, cake, butter, powder) to global clients.
